My past informs my passion

Because my father was in the Air Force, I moved to a new school seven times before graduation. My fondest childhood memories are of exploring my new environments, finding clues to understanding the magical, mysterious new places I found myself in and seeking ways to fit in.

I try to bring that sense of magic, and the search for belonging, to all of my work.

My present informs my progress

I'm an obsessive learner. (I can't believe how lucky I am to be living in a time and place filled with so much opportunity to learn!) The internet has connected me with so many wonderful instructors over the years. They have such a wealth of knowledge to share--I can't soak it up fast enough!

I carry that love of learning into my work, keeping to a schedule and maintaining an open flow of communication with my collaborators. And always seeking to learn something new.

When I'm not making art

When I'm not making art, you can find me working in the garden, perusing the library, and spending time with my husband and son at our home in gorgeous Northern California.
